Lucila Gonzalez

"Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together"
-Scott Hayden

Almost ten years ago, she casually started pole dancing at Art Dance Studio in Buenos Aires, “just for fun”, she said. Soon she realized she loved it so much that she started studying to be an instructor while still training and working.
She’s always been a student and training to be better, on and off the pole. The day came that she started pursuing a career in pole dance, challenging herself and participating in competitions. She won two Pole battles, the Pole theatre Classique and Metropolitan Pole Championship.

In 2015 she met Adela, who ended up not only being the best coach she ever had until that moment, but also a dear friend. Adela is the owner of Flexibilidad Segura, a school specialized in flexibility in sports. After some time, Lucila discovered the importance of being not only strong but also flexible and, started focusing more on bending and contortionism, while pursuing a healthier lifestyle. About two years later, she started teaching at that same school and it became her full time job since then.
Lucila teaches with a freshness, love and enthusiasm very rarely seen in this bussiness. She shares her knowledge and experience freely and generously with everyone that’s willing to learn. Her deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with her experience in several disciplines, helps constitute her unique perspective and approach to teaching.
When asked how she feels after teaching 10 hours of classes, she often says “take a job you love and you won’t have to work for the rest of your life”.
